Scott Sanford Tobis’s comedy pilot FRIVOLOUS is having a SAG-AFTRA Table read on June 26th on Zoom. Shortly after the event was announced, it reach capacity.

FRIVOLOUS is a deeply silly fable about a sweet and innocent 12-year-old boy whose life changes when he accidentally discovers that he can make a living suing people for frivolous reasons. The series will detail the story of the adult Cooper learning the consequences of his actions, juxtaposed with him at a young age learning the opposite lesson. It's based on true events.

If BREAKING BAD is the tale of a good man embracing the dark side, FRIVOLOUS is a comic fable about a corrputed soul trying to redeem himself, contrasted with the character as a child slowly becoming corrupted. Cooper Newman would easily lose to Walter White in a battle of wits, brawn, and bravery -- but he might win in a court of law.
