Terri Barclay Spaugh
Terri B Spaugh writes character-driven dramas that explore buried truths, moral consequence, and the struggle to maintain identity within systems that seek to define it. Her stories center on flawed individuals forced to confront the cost of survival and the dignity found in facing it.
Her produced YA feature FIELDS AFIRE received a WorldFest award and was distributed on streaming platforms.
A graduate of UCLA’s Screenwriting programs and Rice University’s Creative Writing Program, Spaugh brings academic rigor and a background in science and history to her work. A WGA West mentor and former features writer for Creative Screenwriting, she founded the Texas Film Institute Screenplay Competition and served for over a decade as a finalist judge for the Austin Film Festival.
She is currently developing feature projects, including nonfiction military adaptations, while continuing to mentor emerging writers.
