Born in NYC to a globetrotting hippie mother, Peter wasn’t brought up, so much as brought along. They lived in France, London, England, Spain, Puerto Rico, Northern California, a Buddhist retreat in Colorado, a one-store town in Vermont, the Hamptons, and NYC. As a coping mechanism , Peter retreated into a lush fantasy life - later discovered to be a mixed-type delusional disorder. He wrote poems, short stories, and plays as an outlet to his imaginings. Peter started as an actor, performing on 7 years of Summer Stock theater from the age of 14. Self taught in the art of screenwriting - with the “help” of Goldman, Field, McKee, Truby, and many others - his first submission to The Nicholl Fellowship was a 2021 semifinalist, his second was a Nicholl quarterfinalist. He has also had a feature on The Stunt List for 4 years running. Lately, after years of production & design in professional NY theater, and with a healthy portfolio of 17 feature screenplays, 3 pilots, 2 stage plays, dozens of shorts, and a novel, Peter has focused on it as a career, mostly taking on characters who seek order in their disorders.
