Nicole Jones-Dion
Based out of Portland, Oregon, Nicole Jones-Dion is an acclaimed writer-director who specializes in telling elevated genre stories. Beginning her career in comics and video games, she transitioned to screenwriting, writing features for SyFy Channel, Lionsgate, and Sony - including an adaptation of the best-selling martial arts game Tekken.
An Army Brat, Nicole had a nomadic upbringing, living in places as diverse as Hawaii and Germany before her family finally settled down in Wilmington, NC. In school, she won the North Carolina Writer's Award for a full scholarship to Duke University, where she studied Creative Writing, History, and Theology. After graduation, she did her own brief stint in the Army before relocating to LA and the PNW.
In her spare time, Nicole volunteers with the National Park Service and advocates for military veterans in the entertainment industry.
