Joohee Lee Muromcew writes coming of age stories about women, at all ages. Drawing upon a life often spent as a sharp-eyed observer in circles of wealth and privilege, her strongest voice delivers rarified worlds with characters who skewer conventions with fierce, witty dialogue. Joohee is actively pursuing representation and a first staffing assignment in an episodic writers room. Her screenwriting has received accolades from the Austin Film Festival, Stowe Story Labs, Stage 32, The Big Apple Film Festival, Los Angeles Film Awards, and the ISA Diversity Initiative. Previous to screenwriting, Joohee was a freelance writer for publications including Departures, Town & Country, Jackson Hole, and San Francisco magazines. Joohee’s career has also included senior level stints on national and local political campaigns, from which she’s extracted a goldmine of comedic material.
