Bruce Scivally
Bruce Scivally is an author, filmmaker, and publisher whose career spans more than three decades in storytelling across film, television, and books. A graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts, he began as a business affairs assistant at Nelson Entertainent and Sovereign Pictures before writing for A&E’s Biography and producing and writing special feature documentaries on the 007 films and other film series for MGM, Fox, and Sony/Columbia. He is an award-winning screenwriter, co-author the acclaimed book James Bond: The Legacy and author of books on Batman, Superman, and Dracula in pop culture, establishing him as a respected voice in film history and pop-culture analysis.
In 2022 he founded Henry Gray Publishing and has built it into a dynamic independent press that champions diverse, character-driven voices. Under his leadership, HGP has released novels, memoirs, children’s books, genre fiction, and non-fiction books.
Scivally’s own work blends cinematic pacing with emotional depth, from Westerns and thrillers to nonfiction. He has taught film production at Columbia College Chicago and the Illinois Institute of Art and continues to mentor emerging creators while expanding Henry Gray Entertainment—an umbrella he is expanding for both publishing and film initiatives.
As an Independent Writers Caucus member, Scivally brings his passion for craft, collaboration, and cross-platform storytelling to a community dedicated to elevating independent voices.
