Ambra Chavira

A Latina and California native, Ambra writes about kick-ass women. Her great grandfather rode with Pancho Villa during the Mexican revolution, what else would you expect?

Naturally curious and a bit of a wiseass, Ambra loves to play with the typical story

structure of TV and Film while also staying true to the genre. Her first female centered story was published in third grade. After that, she was hooked. Growing up, she didn't see many films with a strong female protagonist, certainly not any who looked like her, so it's important she create stories that inspire women of all ages to step into their power.

Like her great-grandfather, Ambra packed up her life on the back of a horse-well, her car- and moved to L.A. with a leap of faith and a dream. She’s since worked on several independent projects in various roles, from 1st AD to Director to Floor Manager on a local Health Show, including the award-winning Fragile Storm and Killer Friends. Her set experience influences her writing, allowing her to understand what works, what doesn’t and how to adjust story for production.

An architect of emotion, her storytelling digs down to your soul, leaving a lasting impact long after you've finished watching. Building worlds where women shine is what brings her the most joy in her writing.

No stranger to smashing barriers and kicking ass herself, you can usually find Ambra out-lifting most guys at the gym, doting on her nieces and nephews or arguing with her seven pound Yorkie.
