Amaris Gagnon is a New England native and the bi-racial daughter of a Trinidadian immigrant and French father. Amaris left her home state of Massachusetts and moved to Los Angeles to study theater at Loyola Marymount University.
Amaris is a playwright, one-hour drama, and features writer, specializing in
Horror and Science Fiction. She loves to write about dysfunctional families, small towns with secrets, and the internal and external monsters that live inside and around us. In her free time, she prides herself on being a ghost hunter and travels the country to see
the most haunted places in America.
Amaris was recently a 2025 Finalist for the Disney Writers Program and had her full-length stage play produced in Chicago this year. She currently resides in Portland, Oregon.
