Mere Walton's family feature BETTY'S FRIENDS has advanced to the semi-finals of the 2026 PAGE Awards. It's a tale of human and animal fiction that takes place in the summer of 1989, in Baltimore. As her owner's illness progresses, Betty, a feisty terrier, shepherds four strangers into her future family. Adapted from a novel written by Mere Walton.
This is Mere's fourth year as a PAGE semi-finalist, twice with a family feature, OFF COURSE, and once with historical drama, THE RUNNYMEDE PLAYHOUSE.
