The film premiered at CINEQUEST and screened at San Diego Comic-Con. To date, more than fifty festivals have selected the short, and it has won twenty-seven awards, including three audience awards and the top juried prize at six festivals. INVASION ’53 is Danielle Weinberg’s directorial debut.
The Screaming Room Film Festival is presented by HorrorBuzz.com as part of Midsummer Scream, the world's largest Halloween and Horror Convention, drawing more than 50,000 people and held in Long Beach, California.
The next opportunity to see INVASION ’53 is at the LAcon V Worldcon Film Festival in Anaheim on August 29 at 1:00 PM. Worldcon memberships and day passes are available now on their website.
