Danielle Weinberg's Award-Winning short "Invasion '53" screens at Ladybug Women's Week

Danielle Weinberg spoke at the Ladybug Women's Week event Her Lens: Stories by Women on Screen and screened her directorial debut, INVASION ’53. Well-known sci-fi actor Jeffrey Combs stars in this sendup of 1950s sci-fi movies. On its festival run now, the short film premiered at the Oscar-qualifying Cinequest Film Festival, screened at San Diego Comic-Con, has been selected by more than fifty festivals, and won twenty-five awards, including the top juried prize at five festivals and two audience awards.
