After Sold-Out Debut, Toots McApplesauce Returns October 9
"My little loves, powder your nose and save the date! But please don’t powder the date and save the nose. I did that once and, frankly, the invitations never recovered. But they looked fabulous."
Join Toots for an enchanting evening of classic cabaret, live singing, laughter, and stories that may—or may not—arrive at their intended destination.
As featured in Pasadena Now, performer, writer, comedian, and singer Susan Sassi returns to Visionarium Live Italian as her vintage cabaret character Toots McApplesauce in An Evening with Toots McApplesauce: Only Slightly Misbehaving on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 7:00–9:00 p.m.
Blending classic jazz and Great American Songbook favorites with original musical parody, character comedy, storytelling, and playful audience interaction, Only Slightly Misbehaving brings old-Hollywood glamour together with a gloriously wandering train of thought.
Toots McApplesauce wants to be a lady. Unfortunately, her brain wants to be a junk drawer. She is an elegant, slightly absent-minded cabaret hostess whose wit, warmth, and habit of misplacing her own thoughts make every performance feel polished, personal, and completely unpredictable.
Between the music, the memories, and whatever she came into the room to say, Toots attempts to maintain her dignity while her brain attempts to go on vacation. The evening invites guests to enjoy dinner, music, laughter, and a performer who is trying very hard to behave herself.
Tickets are $25 and are applied toward Visionarium’s $30 food and beverage minimum during the event.
